Prescription Drug Coverage
Residents of Nunavut can access coverage for prescription drugs through:
Extended Health Benefits (EHB) - for non-aboriginal individuals who have been diagnosed with a disease or condition and for seniors, who meet criteria of the Program
Indigent Health Benefits (IHB) - for individuals receiving income support
Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) - a Federal Government health plan, providing non-insured health services for Inuit, Innu and Registered Indians
What drugs are covered through the Health Benefit Programs?
Generally drugs listed on the Non-Insured Health Benefits Formulary are covered. See the sidebar button 'Non-Insured Health Benefits' for more information.
How can I get coverage for drugs not on the Formulary?
